Fees:
Senior Dues (2010 season): $350 + 24 volunteer hours (to be served either at the clubhouse or through fundraising events)
Volunteer Committment: 24 hours to be served either at the clubhouse or through fundraising events. **You can opt out of these 24 hours by paying an additional $325** If players do not follow through on their 24 hour committment, they will be considered to be in bad standing with the club.
Dues can be paid in full or in payments, as long as the $350 is received in full by APRIL 24th, 2010. This is to make sure there is time for the registrar to get registrations in for a May 8th start to the season. PLAYERS WILL NOT BE REGISTERED UNTIL THE $350 IS RECEIVED IN FULL!! Without registration, players are unable to play, regardless of the circumstances. Registrations will continue to be accepted after this date, with registrations being completed as soon as possible.
Season schedule:
Games will begin in May for both men and women’s programs and run through September. Outdoor practices commence as soon as the fields are clear of snow, usually sometime in April.
OUTDOOR TRAINING: Women on Mondays and Thursdays and men on Tuesdays and Thursdays (be there to warm up and stretch around 6:30 PM, training begins @ 7 PM). All outdoor training occurs at the Pirates fields (1904 – 167 Avenue). All current members (including social — $50/year) are invited to attend. Anyone who is interested in trying the sport out is also welcome to attend — please contact our team reps.
Registration:
Registration for the 2010 season will commence with indoor training and continue throughout the season. All registrations and payments are to go to the team representatives (men, women, junior) or to the registrar.
If you are unable to get your registration to a rep in person, we will accept the form and cheque through the mail. Cheques should be made payable to Edmonton Pirates RFC. You will also need to complete a registration form. There is a player information form on the resources page which needs to be completed in addition to the Rugby Canada registration form.
