Senior Rugby
The Pirates offer senior rugby programs for both Men and Women. We welcome experienced and new players and have a policy of playing those who come to practice.
We will be offering the following teams for the 2012 season:

Men- one 2nd and one 3rd Division teams
Women – one team, with placement determined in a pre-seeding round

Coaching:

The Club Coach for all senior teams this year will be Kevin Tuhua.

Fees:

Senior Dues (2012 season): $350 + 24 volunteer hours (to be served either at the clubhouse or through fundraising events)

Volunteer Committment: 24 hours to be served either at the clubhouse or through fundraising events.  Please read the volunteer policy here.

Players will not be able to play in games until the $350 fees are paid in FULL!!

Season schedule:

Games will begin in May for both men and women’s programs and run through September/October, depending on playoffs.  Outdoor practices commence as soon as the fields are clear of snow, usually sometime in April.

OUTDOOR TRAINING:  All senior teams will be practicing on Tuesdays and Thursdays this year (be there to warm up and stretch around 6:30 PM, training begins @ 7 PM).  All outdoor training occurs at the Pirates fields (1904 – 167 Avenue).  All current members (including social — $50/year) are invited to attend.  Anyone who is interested in trying the sport out is also welcome to attend — please contact our team reps.

Registration:

There are major changes to the registration process that are being determined by Rugby Canada.  Unfortunately, individual clubs have not received much information on how the registration process is going to work, other than Rugby Canada is having all registrations be processed online.  There will be no paper registrations this year.  More information will be posted once that information has been made available by Rugby Canada.
